What an adorable pup. I love that smushy face. I have a english yellow lab named Sunday but, we call him Sunny. He is the best! They truely are your best friend. You should get the pup! I work for a doggy daycare on the west coast and I just wanted to make sure that you know how much energy boxers have for the 1st few years. They are very high strung and need ALOT of excercise. If you are up to that challenge they make absolutely wonderful, goofy pets. Make sure to socialize ALOT when young, otherwise they do tend to bully other dogs. They are a bully breed ya know! :) Good Luck!

dearest kim. boxers are wonderful dogs. having a boxer is like having a chimpanzee, at least for the first 3 years, especially a puppy. just make sure if you get a puppy they NEED to have training. it is only fair to them. i have a female boxer that we got when she 10 weeks old. we would have had her earlier but she got parvo...and survived!(does that give you a hint? they are tough little dogs.) her name is moiya. she is now a little over a year old. she has an overbite on her bottom jaw and crooked bottom teeth. (her bottom lip is like a boo-boo lip, kind of pouty. looks like she should have lip gloss.) they do have some health care issues. they will eat "anything!!!" our moiya is a digger. we have an acre of property that is fenced so she is able to run and dig. we also have a boxer lab mix named karl,named after billybob thornton in slingblade, he has one of those pink boxer eyes that melts your heart and your dinner plate). he is 8 years old now and i'm sure he feels she is a pain in the ass but puts up with her. i can't afford training for her so i have always relied on her big "brother" to teach her manners. if in fact you get the puppy please check into "boxer rescue" in L.A. so your puppy will have a friend. they really do well with another dog. just a thought coming from a woman that is old enough to be your grandmother. i do watch your program and enjoy it. (i think i used to have a butt like yours but mine is just much longer.) i appreciate yours and khloe and courtneys morals. no one is perfect, we all make mistakes. that is how we learn. always pay attention to bruces' advice. anyway, please be sure that if you do get a boxer puppy they need a LOT of attention and love. and what you give you will get much more back. i have 4 chickens and moiya thinks they are her girlfriends.(they are aracuanas and lay green eggs). moiya doesn't get table food, not good for boxers. i'm sure you and reggie will do just fine with whatever you decide and thank you for letting me rattle on like i matter. good luck. love, jane ann xo

Boxers are awesome dogs. Puppies are a handful and if you have a busy lifestyle you may wind up regretting your decision. Have you ever thought about adopting a rescue dog? I work with Boxer Rescue of Albuquerque and we see awesome dogs everyday that just need a home. You could get an older dog,even just a 2 or 3 year old boxer would be easier to care for. Both of my dogs are rescues 1 is a boxer-mastiff mix who lets me know how grateful he is every day that I picked him. Take care, love the show.

Amanda....mmmmm... so sad. haha. kim is everything your not, and aren't we happy about that!!!! anyway, i have a boxer. shes 10 and we love her so much! shes great with our 2 year old and over all a great dog! i have worked in the veterinary field for 12 years and all of the boxers i have seen have been great! a good reputation. they can however be prone to cancer.... but my kobe has never got any cancer or health issues.

I think that you should deffently adopt because there are so many little angels that are losing there lives every day in shelters across America! There so greatful and they have all the love in the world to share with you and reggie! In fact adoption is always best when done in pairs, the buddy system. They'll keep each other company and it's double the love for you both!

I don't know how somebody can even think about comparing dog adoption and child/human adoption. But Kim I do agree with everybody who is encouraging you to ADOPT. You are a public figure and people will most likely follow your lead. I adopted a dog from the shelter and my baby is the sweetest and most loyal dog in the world.
On a different note, I think you are very pretty, my husband likes you and even though I burn in the flames of jealousy I must agree in that I see what HE sees. LOL. I loved that episode where you were trying to set a better example for your little sisters when they were imitating your "bitchy"(sorry) behavior. Never let fame go to your head...remember... EVERYTHING fades... beauty, bucks, fame. The only thing that remains is family and TRUE friends, so make an effort to keep them intact!

I was just browsing the site...and I noticed that someone commented about Kim having a huge ass and boobs up to her chin because of a push up bra?...well let me just say..Kim..THANK you...your butt and boobs look like the butts and boobs of the rest of us across the board in America...thanks for showing us that a real woman with a real body can do things like Playboy magazine and model photoshoots and look beautiful. AND the puppy.....a friend of mine just got a boxer a few months ago..the whole family loves him but he is very hyper and loves to play so be ready for a full-time job....definitely get him though! I'm so excited for you (& Reggie!) I love, love, love dogs & have 3 of my own. (I had 4 living with me but lost my 17 year old the 2nd week of January.) Please, please, please only get the/a dog if you (or someone else) can/will commit to walking him/her EVERYDAY. This is VITAL to a dog's well being. I know you're not a total stranger to dogs,...that you know people who have different types of dogs (such as Paris,...with her pack of 17) but please be sure that you & Reggie bone up (no pun intended) on the responsibilities of bringing a dog into your life/world as they have very definite & specific needs. AND,...unless you plan to become a breeder, please spay or neuter! (This too - while not vital, IS beneficial to their over health & well being.) All of that said, BOXERS ARE FABULOUS DOGS!!! They have such a great disposition & more often than not, are not excessive barkers. (Which you & especially your neighbors will appreciate!)
Let me know if you need a dog walker,...I'm working on moving back to California & am hoping that - if all goes as planned - I will be back by Fall. My dogs are always happy to have a new canine walking buddy!

Well, I have a boxer, and I love her!! They're definitely adorable. They're protective, they like to jump, and they like to chew on things.
My suggestion though, is too look into it more. All dogs are different and have different things that they do. Get the dog that's right for you, so that you don't get sick of it and get rid of it. Be a responsible pet owner.
Puppies need a lot of attention, so make sure you have the time.

You should definitely look into getting one! I have a pit bull (possibly pit boxer mix) and she is amazing, its like she was made in heaven. My mom had a boxer and he was a really good dog too.

Dogs are great, no matter what breed. They have unconditional love for you! Boxers have great personality and easy to take care because they don't have to much cough to clip and to shed. Two advisers search about boxers temperament to make sure he won't be affect by your busy schedule, some dogs required more attention than others otherwise they start to have nasty behaviors. The other advice is never buy dogs from a pet store please go to a breeder, because you will have a chance to check how the mother is look like and also your baby will come from a much healthier environment. If you never hear about puppy mill and decide to search about it, you will understand what I am trying to say.
Any puppy you take will be so lucky to have a special mom like you.

Definitely! i've had 2 boxers and they are absolutely fantastic dogs. They are very energetic and loving. They love to jump, lick and snuggle. and they're great with kids
